With more than 300 new cases diagnosed in the US every year, medulloblastoma is the most common brain tumor in children. Although 75% of cases can be treated combining surgery, radiotherapy and chemiotherapy, 25% of affected children fail to respond to the therapy. Moreover, many patients that have been cured show severe neurological side effects, including psychiatric disorders, growth retardation, and cognitive impairment. Better therapies are thus required for the treatment of this highly malignant cancer.
