Dr. Yiwen Chen received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he developed and applied cutting-edge computational methods to study protein biophysics and structural biology/proteomics.

He subsequently joined Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard School of Public Health, under joint supervision by Dr. Myles A. Brown and Dr. X. Shirley Liu. His research there focused on combining computational and experimental approaches to elucidate the role of long non-coding RNAs and steroid hormone signaling in cancer.
