Dr. Jason Upton is an assistant professor of molecular genetics and microbiology in the College of Natural Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin. He joined the university from Emory University in Atlanta in January 2012. Dr. Upton investigates how programmed cell death pathways are dysregulated in tumor cells with the goal of improving existing cancer therapies and developing new ones.
