Sandra Balderrama

Ms. Balderrama’s experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the Texas Cancer Council and management of various programs at the Texas Department of Human Services. Ms. Balderrama earned her masters degree in public administration from Texas State University and bachelors in social work from Sam Houston State University. With over 30 years of service in state government she has experience in administration, management, planning, collaboration, agency management, strategic planning, program development and the legislative process.

She serves on the Executive Committee of the Texas Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition, Advisory Committee to the Texas Cancer Registry, Redes En Acción, Small State Agency Task Force, Salud America, Executive Advisory Panel of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, State Agency Council, and the Childhood Cancer Coalition.
