CPRIT’s Inaugural “Innovations in Cancer Prevention and Research Conference”

Innovations in Cancer Prevention and Research Conference

Hosted by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas
With support from the CPRIT Foundation

INNOVATION.  Defined as the application of information, imagination, and initiative in deriving greater or different value from resources to be converted into useful products.

This is the standard we have set for our first Innovations in Cancer Prevention and Research Conference.

We invite all researchers, community health experts, advocates, survivors, students and friends to join us as CPRIT shares a new perspective on how to make a difference in the fight against cancer. The thought-provoking program was developed by a committee under the leadership of Ray Dubois, M.D., Ph.D., of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Amelie Ramirez, Dr.P.H., M.P.H, of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

By attending the conference you will learn about the:

  • Ground-breaking projects that CPRIT has funded in 2010 and how high the bar has been set in Texas,
  • Progress that is being made throughout the industry as well as what trailblazing opportunities lie ahead,
  • Future of cancer treatment from a pharmaceutical perspective,
  • Impact of health care policy changes on cancer prevention and treatment,
  • CPRIT funding process and how you can successfully submit your application.
